About

Charta Conservation is run by Gloria Conti, an Icon Accredited Conservator-Restorer (ACR)*:

“I worked internationally as a Conservator for over 15 years, both in the public and the private sector. I graduated from the European School for Conservator-Restorers in Spoleto, Italy, in 2005 and started my career in Italy until I moved to the UK two years later. I have a degree in History and Preservation of Cultural Heritage from the University of Florence and I have been part of a team of conservators in a large institution since 2008.

I set up Charta Conservation to provide conservation services to libraries, archives, museums, other cultural institutions and private owners.

I am a member of IADA (International Association of Book & Paper Conservators), of Aicrab (Italian Association of Library and Archive Conservators and Curators) and I am a Committee member of the Icon Book & Paper Group.
I take pride in the care and attention to details I apply to my work, and take continuous professional development very seriously.

A detailed CV is available upon request, or you can take a look at my Linkedin profile.”
